Compare Home EV Chargers in Australia
By the EV Home Check team · Last updated 15 October 2026 · General information only, not electrical advice
Short answer
There's no single best charger. The right one depends on your car's AC charging limit, your power supply, whether you want to charge from surplus solar, and whether your home needs load management. Below are the chargers our calculator currently recommends, with the trade-offs of each.
Specifications are summarised from manufacturer information; prices are approximate, product-only (installation excluded) and should be checked with the retailer. The "suits" and "limitations" notes are our own analysis — we have not hands-on tested these units. EV Home Check does not currently have affiliate relationships with these brands.

Remember your car sets the limit
A 22 kW charger won't charge a car faster than the car's own on-board AC charger allows — many cars accept 7 kW or 11 kW. See single-phase vs three-phase charging and charging with solar.
Check your own home
